Peter Wright and John Henderson have won twice in all three Finals Day games in Jena – a 3-1 victory over the unnamed Austria following a win over Wales, and the Netherlands by Michael van Gerwen

John Henderson and Peter Wright teamed up in Scotland to make one day of fearless shots to win their second World Cup of Darts in three years, beating Austria unprepared for the final.
Wright won the Scottish Girls’ Cup in 2019 alongside Gary Anderson, but after competing twice in Europe, Henderson joined the club and did not take part in the World Matchplay.
Henderson made his World Cup debut with Robert Thornton last year but the Scots fell to second place – despite playing with Snakebite, Hendo was promoted as Scotland became the third team to win the tournament several times, England and the Netherlands.

For Wright, and another title on a CV featuring the World Matchplay, UK Open and World Championship, but for 48-year-old Henderson watching the election in the background, it was his first PDC title and when Wright stopped winning twice, tears began to flow.
Wales’ 103.93 are the biggest losses to the two races in the history of the tournament.
It hit 103.47 set by the Czech team earlier this week.

The duo wanted to be kicked in the final leg to win the quarter-finals – bringing out the third seed in the Netherlands in the final eight games and then shooting defending Welsh players, as well as winners Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton, as well.
It was always Henderson who scored twice, and the last one he faced was the Austrian team consisting of Mensur Suljovic and Rowby-John Rodriguez who wanted to be the first team not to win the tournament,

After splitting the two matches, Suljovic beating Henderson and Wright beating Rodriguez, the crucial competition was also certain. Austria fired a 3-0 lead and missed five game shots to open Hendo’s opener – winning twice in the final leg.
It left a clear path for Wright to cross the line against Suljovic, but only after another game. The cold-blooded Wright led 3-1 with a 156-point lead but when he saw the chance to win, he missed five game shots to keep Suljovic alive.

The Austrian leader won the sixth leg to force a new election, while Wright finally conquered his country.
The victory sealed the place at the Grand Slam of Darts in November for Henderson, who has come down to earth after two difficult years and is vying for a place at the World Championships, where he also made Scotland the second of four teams to win with a different pair since its inception in 2011.
Austria’s run – never before the end of the quarter-final – also gives Suljovic and Rodriguez a place in the Grand Slam of Darts – but it was Scotland’s day when he took the title and won the title.

Big guns need to chase the fifth head to win
England and Netherlands They knelt early on the last day of their quest to win the World Cup without the famous names of their glory for more than a year.
Both teams have won the title four times, but all English wins have been won by Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis, while all four Dutch titles featured Raymond van Barneveld – three of them along with Michael van Gerwen.

The Dutch were the first to bow when they were defeated by the quarter-finalists against Scotland – something that confirmed the theme of the day.
Van Gerwen was playing with his third friend for many years – and according to Dirk Van Duijvenbode he had high hopes of getting the first title of the festival since 2018 with his first name of any kind since December last year – but a quarter later – the last German defeat last year, was a way the first one.
MvG led them to a huge victory over Henderson Wright before returning to beat Van Duijvenbode and forcing a double match that continued in the final where Hendo started his champions.

Rowby-John Rodriguez made a memorable play in breaking Dave Chisnall twice as Austria beat England to reach the World Cup finals.
England did well, reaching the final, but James Wade and Dave Chisnall – the only team with two of the top ten players in the world – entered the Austrian hurricane.
The top seed was impressive in ending hopes for homeowners at the Sparkassen Arena and flying to Germany, but had no answer for Suljovic and Rodriguez with their huge numbers – the Englishmen who won one leg and waited for the title would now last six years.
