IOS 12.5.5 Patch Released To Block Zero-Day Use On Older iPhones


It’s been a few years since iOS 12 was released, but it looks like Apple has also released new updates like iOS 12.5.5. According to Apple, this is expected to make use of a number of applications and challenges that have been identified and is tackling the devices that are based on the older iOS 12 architecture.

It should be noted that this is about users who have devices that cannot be upgraded to iOS 13 due to their very old and incompatible features. These issues may not apply to new devices such as the ones running iOS 13 or later, but we will see our eyes to know more if it happens.

According to Apple, these will apply to devices such as the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, and iPod touch (sixth generation), so if you have any of these then you I want to upgrade to iOS 12.5.5 ASAP to protect your attackers from affecting your devices with this.
