DC Comics’ Webtoon Is Amazing

Kids, to be honest, Bruce?
Figure: StarBite / DC Comics / Webtoon

There’s not much that surprises me Batman a joke again, but I do not expect to see the old dead, tortured / warlike life Jason Todd lunge after cookie. It is one of the best images in the first partnership between DC Comics and Korean viewing platforms Webtoon, Batman: Wayne Family Adventures.

If you know what makes Webtoons different from, say, the digital jokes that are available on DC Unlimited Environment, feel free to skip with the next paragraph. All the rest: The value of Webtoon is designed to be read on computer platforms, not ordinary computers. This means that all of its pages are straightforward, and very simple — they are often grouped together, with few lines of discussion, which make them visible and readable on the screen.

Written by CRC Payne with stellar art from Rhett Bloom aka StarBite (pun wants), Batman: Wayne Family Adventures it doesn’t do this, but what makes it special is that it looks at the Bat-Family farther than Adventures. The program of the first three stories are now available, and almost the Bat-Bat group stories: story # 1 consists of Duke Thomas (aka Signal) moving to Wayne Manor and visiting from Damian Wayne; # 2 is the argument between Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Cassandra Cain, Duke, and Damian over who will eat Alfred’s last prize cake; # 3 with Barbara Gordon having a brunch with her dad while talking about her last night trying to argue with her Bat-comrade mother / mother. It’s great, funny, and fun to read, especially if you’re tired of the Bat-family drama with a big sense of humor.

Wayne Family Adventures is the first DC connection to Webtoons, which hosts thousands of webcomics from publishers such as Image, Legendary, and many others, and has 72 million monthly readers. It may not be the best start of the alliance, but it has also established a large bar of its own the next list to reach. But if there has been any satisfying group as Bruce Wayne left a note on a Batmobile note reminding Damian that he is too young to drive, I can’t wait to read it.
