The National Wrestling Nationals will be held in Gonda from November 19 to 21

The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has announced the dates for this year’s Wrestling Championship. The fighters will take place from November 19 to 21 at Nandini Nagar Sports, Nawabganj, Gonda in Uttar Pradesh.

The union has sent invitations to governments, the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) and the Service Sports Promotion Board (SSCB).

WFI assistant secretary Vinod Tomar told Sportskeeda himself:

“We have sent this invitation to the federal government and other related agencies. The deadline for submissions is November 4. ”

However, due to the epidemic and the potential for a third flood at the end of this year, the anti-government agency has reduced the number of officers per team.

“Each team can send more than 10 wrestlers and two coaches in freestyle, Greco-Roman and women’s wrestling,” said Tomar.

In the past, organizations were allowed to send the top three finishers to the competition. However, at this time only two fighters (in each group) are able to participate in each heavyweight division.

It will be the second traditional fighting event to take place this year. The alliance organized a late 2020 game in early January due to the epidemic.

In the meantime, U23 seniors in each sporting event will take place from September 16 to 19 in Ameth, Uttar Pradesh.

WFI President on the future of wrestling in India

WFI President Brij Bhuhan feels that organizing UP citizens is helping to tackle the prestige outside Haryana – India’s military capital.

“Recent fighting has intensified in Uttar Pradesh. And now UP is following the game, we are confident that the future is bright for the Indian champions. ”

The government led by Yogi Adityanath is expected to invest more than 170 million dollars in construction and support fighters until the 2032 Olympics.

“As this happens, aid will not only be provided to human rights activists in this country. Even Cadet activists have earned money and we can reward professionals even nationally,” he added.
