When Nintendo announced their latest update, it was not 4K the beast that many look forward to. It was basically the launch of the program YOU ARE veil, but other than that it stays the same inside with the old color. While some praised the OLED integration, there were others who were hopeful that Nintendo would release a major upgrade.
However, it seems that despite a slight change, Nintendo is likely to have bigger plans for the future of the contract. This is according to a report from Bloomberg which cites several manufacturers from at least 11 studios who claim to have been running the 4K Nintendo switchch dev kit.
For those who don’t know much, the dev tool becomes a test for developers to create and test their game to make sure it works before it comes out. In some cases, especially in large studios, they may be sent system equipment in advance in order to prepare for the game on contract development.
The fact that these manufacturers are using 4K dev tools has given rise to the notion that 4K Conversion remains in the cards. However, Nintendo told Bloomberg that their information was “incorrect” but declined to continue.
That being said, with 4K on the rise these days, we think it’s a matter of when it’s not a problem if the 4K switch arrives, but when someone thinks.
