The Best New iPadOS 15 Tools To Test First

Apple’s main app upgrade is now available, and if you have an iPad (fifth or newer), iPad Pro, iPad mini (fourth or newer version), or iPad Air (second-gen or newer), then you can download and launching iPadOS 15. There are a lot of new features, and here are some things you need to know first.

Note: We’ve also included some iPad features here that Apple has announced since late, such as FaceTime SharePlay. The missing items should be reflected in the software update this fall, be sure to stay here with the latest version of iPadOS to take advantage of the opportunity.


1. More Easy Work

Apple has made more of the iPad look great with the iPadOS 15. You will see three dots on the top of the screen: Click these to switch between the screen, Split View mode, and Slide Over mode. The new menu means that it is easier to use two apps at the same time.


2. Open the Center Page

Multi-color switch for iPad is a new window opener that works like Apple Mail and Apple Notes. When you print and save an email in your inbox or in your list, you will see a file on Open in New Window Select Appearance: Select this, and the item you selected appears in the middle of the window, like a window on the screen.


3. Share Comments And Tags

Apple apps have new features for companies that develop annual apps. This year’s posts receive a new Quick Note entry, a new view of shared content, and the ability to add tags when creating your notes in new ways. Add a note initially with the hashtag, and they will all be listed in the main Folders list to the left of the Notes app.

4. Keyboard Timekeeping Instruments

Apple still wants you to think of the iPad as a replacement for a laptop, and until the iPadOS 15 is affected, this means shorter routes. You need to connect the physical keyboard with your tablet to use them – find and hold Cmd button on the keyboard to view a list of shortcuts supported, plus Cmd + Location hunting.


5. Add Widget to Screenshot

iPadOS tracks iOS by getting support for widgets on the home screen between apps of the app and not just another component. It also works as it does on iPhones: Print and hold blank space on the home screen to import the + (include) in the left-hand corner, then click to view the widgets available, based on the apps installed here.

The App Library makes the jump from the iPhones and iPadOS 15. As with iOS, you can access it by downloading it to all your windows. The App Library means that you do not need to have an image of any app that integrates the iPad video interface, while the library stores your apps in group folders.

7. Watch Movies and Movies with Friends on FaceTime

iPadOS 15 finally this fall also includes updates and a new SharePlay feature, which gives you the opportunity to watch movies and shows or listen to music and podcasts while on FaceTime playing with other people you chat with. If you want to create an online movie party then FaceTime will soon be one of the apps you can use.


8. Go to Grid View in FaceTime

Speaking of FaceTime, you can now switch to the face grid if you are calling with several people at the same time. It looks like Zoom, which was no doubt Apple’s goal, and you get the same look when the dialog box here flashes. Also new to FaceTime is a Visual Route that distorts your background while playing.


9. See New Photos and Updates

Memories that display photos and videos from your library change slightly on iPadOS 15 – open the Yours section in Images to view. There’s a new, more immersive version of the genre, and you also get specially selected music from Apple Music to accompany you.

10. Keep Your Thoughts Simple

Like iOS 15, the iPadOS 15 has a new feature called Focus, which works on top of the existing Uninterruptible. It allows you to set certain types of information rules so that you can quickly switch depending on where you are and what you are doing. Open it Think menu in Settings to edit your various files.


11. See What My Friends Are Sharing With You

If someone sends you a picture or a link to Messages on one of your Apple devices, then you can quickly find it in the Shared With You section within the Apple app (so Photos of shared photos, and so on). With the launch of iPadOS, it works with Photos, Safari, Apple News, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and the Apple TV video program.

12. Summary Notification Schedule

iPadOS 15 comes with a new way to help manage information: You can import notifications from unnecessary shortcuts that are provided when you want them to be delivered, instead of just building them instantly. To set this up, go to Settings on your iPad. Choose Notifications then Modified Summary selecting when the notification arrives.


13. Change Your Memoji

Apple often adds new Memoji options for users to play with in new software updates, and that’s what happens with iPadOS 15. In addition to the changes you now have in multi-layered clothing, extra accessories, and other matching features such as cochlear implants, oxygen tubes, and soft hats.

14. See Detailed Maps

Apple Maps on the iPad changes a lot in the appearance of the iPadOS 15. Try getting closer to cities like San Francisco and London to see more details of landmarks, roads, and even any prices. Away from the big cities, the landscape of mountains, deserts, forests, and lakes has also been changed.


15. See Picture Notes

iPadOS 15 can detect the contents of photos now, which is useful for copying phone numbers or translating menus. The iPad also recognizes art, symbols, nature, books, animals, and much more in the form of stored images, through the Visual Look Up app. To use it, open the image in Images, and look up the stars above the notification button at the bottom (small “i” around).


16. Check your iPad

Visualizations are launched with the installation of iPadOS 15. Start the search and link at the bottom of the screen, and once you start typing your query, you will see many good results available online and on your iPad. You can also browse for your photos, and notes in your photos, via Visual.

17. Take advantage of VPN-Browsing Security

If you pay Apple for some iCloud storage then you get iCloud + when you upgrade to iPadOS. One of the bonus features that iCloud + brings is the iCloud Private Relay, which protects your internet connection from the outside, like a VPN. You will find it in Settings: click on your name then iCloud to see the opportunity.


18. Interpret Articles on Your iPad

Glossary is now integrated well into all iPad applications. Not only is the Translator app Apple currently making available on Apple tablets and Apple phones, but you can also translate the highlighted words – they appear along with other available options. Interpretation also helps in texts that are identified and selected by the images.


19. Use Your iPad Without Seam With Mac

Universal Control is something that works with MacOS Monterey (coming this fall) and iPadOS 15 that allows you to use Mac to control the iPad. When using a Mac running Monterey next to the iPad running iPadOS 15, you can move the trackpad or mouse pointer to the Mac side to access the iPad. Your devices should be on the same wifi network and use the same Apple ID, but once available, you can drag and drop files and work seamlessly between your two devices.
