Hearts 0 – 0 Hibernian

Hearts and Hibs both missed out on a chance to advance to the top of the Scottish Premiership after playing a non-stop match at Tynecastle in the first Edinburgh derby of the season.

The rivalry between the two rivals in the city – which was played in front of fans for the first time since March 2020 – turned into a rivalry between two rival goal scorers.

Hibs keeper Matt Macey was in inspired form, twice denying Gary Mackay-Steven and two pauses after just over an hour, before his number – Craig Gordon – again unleashed a stoppage to stop Kevin Nisbet from opening 13 minutes before he left.

As a result, Hibs and Hearts sit in second and third place behind the table, a point remaining for Rangers players.
