Novak Djokovic is the one-time winner to become the third person to take the Grand Slam calendar after the last major defeat against Alexander Zverev at the US Open.
Djokovic spoke to Zverev 4-6, 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 to secure a place in the final against Daniil Medvedev on Sunday, and if he wins again, he will be joined by Don Budge (1938) and Rod Laver (1962, 1969). as the only men to have won four Grand Slam matches in just one year.

A win against Russia’s second seed will also see Djokovic win his 21st Grand Slam title, placing him ahead of Roger Federer and rival Rafael Nadal.
The 34-year-old winner of Zverev’s victory at Arthur Ashe Stadium was spotted by Australian legend Laver, who was on the team.
Speaking after the victory, Djokovic said he knew the approach to the Grand Slam calendar, but was just looking to win Medvedev.

“I’m going to the fourth US Open, that’s all I think,” he said.
When asked by John McEnroe of ESPN about the Slam calendar, he said: “It’s there, it’s there. I know people like to hear me talk, but there’s not much we can discuss.
“There’s only one match just exactly. All inside, all. Let’s do it. I’ll put my heart and my soul and my body and my head in. I’ll do the next game like this. It’s the last game in my career.”

Djokovic now has a 27-0 record in majors in 2021.
One of the highlights of the game was a 53-gun shooting ceremony in the third chapter. Zverev won the point with a winner to continue doing this, but Djokovic won the game and started right away.
