Details of the Super League clash between Hull KR and Castleford Tigers

Hull KR kept their last Super League hopes of a successful 26-19 win over Castleford thanks to two attempts by Mikey Lewis.

Lewis got the brace and Jordan Abdull scored five good goals while Robins fought back in the second half to seal the necessary victory and save their season.

Hull KR were trailing 19-12 but Matt Parcell and Kane Linnett went through Hull College Craven Park to ensure their team continued their search for the final game next weekend, alongside the Tigers and Leeds.

It was nervous, starting slowly on both sides, probably because of the importance of its consequences for all. But in the fifth minute, the receiver led through Lewis.

Linnett went through a few legs to the left and pulled Niall Evalds to make half-time easily, before Abdull added more.

However, the lead only lasted seven minutes thanks to a blockbuster run by Oliver Holmes. The shooter defended the weak defense and lowered Evalds into the net, with Danny Richardson nailing the turn to tie him 6-6.

In the 20th minute, Castleford led for the first time through Derrell Olpherts.

After a break in the middle of the field, Matigari quickly stretched the ball and found a place for the Olpherts to catch it and Richardson’s push on the side was enough to make it 12-6.

At the end of the 27th minute, Hull KR’s constant pressure paid off as Lewis rushed into the line, past the Tigers defense and waited for Abdull to turn.

With two and a half minutes to go, Richardson opened the scoring to beat Castleford ahead.

In the second half, it was the Tigers who took the lead and developed a two-minute lead thanks to a clever drop from Michael Shenton.

As Robins’ defense was stretched, the former site cut in and passed the ticket to Evalds to return for the second night.

Richardson’s third successful turn added a lead to seven points.

At 19-12 back, Parcell scored to bring Hull KR back into the game

The home side won after Abdull deflected Castleford’s lead 55 minutes later.

There was another play that came after Linnett was led from a short time to take the opportunity to lead his team. Abdull made no mistake and suddenly Hull KR was ahead 24-19.

The Robins had gone strong and Castleford appeared all at sea – yet he was promoted to the final, a house built later and Adam Milner was promoted to the test line.

But Hull KR still held on tight and Abdull added a final goal to make the outcome possible.
