FIFA has ruled out players invited by Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Paraguay during the international break to play in the Premier League this week.

Wednesday was revealed to FIFA has asked Article 5 to bar Premier League clubs from selecting players who have refused to be released from international matches., following a request from the Brazil Football Confederation.

The request came after Premier League clubs agreed last month not to release players from the World Cup.

However, following numerous negotiations with FIFA, the FA and the Premier League, the Brazilian, Chile, Mexico and Paraguay organizations agreed to lift a five-day ban.

The decision was made Friday night, 12 hours before the start of the week’s game.
