Ezekiel Elliott was arrested Thursday night, not only by the Buccaneers but also by their captain.
Mike McCarthy chose not to bring back many of his players loss of the Cowboys 31-29 in Tampa. Elliott had only 11 – the second lowest in his five-season NFL career – though the Cowboys played 77 in all games.
The 16.3-year-old Elliott picks up the game last season for McCarthy and Dallas. He has had less than 12 carry in his 15 games.
Naturally, this led many to question why Elliott got so little work in Week 1 of 2021. His answer was simple.

Elliott didn’t take the ball very seriously because of the game. McCarthy made the remarks on NBC’s post after Elliott, Tony Pollard and Dak Prescott combined for just the first seven vessels.

Tampa Bay were the No. 1 NFL defensive back in back-to-back games. It allowed 82.7 runs per game last season and 73.8 runs per game in 2019. McCarthy avoided running the ball and tried to take advantage of the Buccaneers high school.
The second suffered a setback Thursday night. From defense Jordan Whitehead (hamstring) was useless. From the back corner Sean Murphy-Bunting injured his elbow the first half. Mike Edwards – who replaced Whitehead – wasted no time due to a disability.
The Cowboys have a solid game and are one of three NFL recipients at Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup. This was a very good Cowboys competition, so McCarthy allowed Prescott to throw the ball 56 times. Elliott grabbed two 6-yard touchdowns, to go with his 33 run runs.

McCarthy also redesigned short-distance routes to create simpler routes. The Cowboys use the game and change the pass to change the game. This allowed the team to take on air players by avoiding running between Ndamukong Suh (£ 307) and Vita Vea (346 pounds).
McCarthy’s game plan worked. The Cowboys conceded 451 yards and struck three times in 13 yards.

Elliott also mentioned McCarthy after the game.
“You know, the game goes anyway.” Elliott said. “I was out to play – out there to play every game. The reason, I mean, I don’t know.”
Elliott really has a role to play with Dallas no matter how many he has. In the fight against Tampa Bay, he was a very important defender and had a few shots that allowed Prescott to lower the ball.
And Elliott seems to be anticipating the Cowboys’ mistakes even if it happens Thursday.
“It’s great to be back out there,” he said. “I think we did a great job competing. The defense did a good job going out there and getting the ball. Offense did very well going out there. [and] scoring. We just failed but, you know, I love where we are here. We’ll get better. “
