FC Bengaluru United has been part of the 16 clubs he has played in the Durand Cup this year. This popular competition is set to return after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 epidemic and will take place from September 5 to October 3.
In just the third year since its inception, FC Bengaluru United will make their debut in the Durand Cup.
“It is a great privilege for FC Bengaluru United to be invited to participate in the Durand Cup and we are not very happy,” said FC Bengaluru United’s Gaurav Manchanda.
The club from Bengaluru has been placed in Group A along with strong opponents such as Mohammedan Sporting Club, CRPF and Indian Air Force.
“The Durand Cup is an old game in the Indian football calendar, and we are proud to have it,” added Manchanda.

FC Bengaluru United were awarded the BDFA Super Division Champions award after a successful home season this year.
The program of Covenant The second division team will be looking to spread to the Durand Cup. It will be a great opportunity for them to make a significant contribution to the world.
“It is important to be praised for our participation in the 130th edition of the Durand Cup and we are ready to have a big celebration to have it,” said Richard Hood, FC Bengaluru United’s head coach.
“As professionals, we are always looking for opportunities to compete at the highest level and in the small history of our clubs this provides a great opportunity for all participants, especially players outside to meet United’s ambitions,” added Richard Hood.
