One of the secret features that Google has released in Android 11 is your resetting of permissions for apps that you haven’t used in a long time. This is because sometimes we download programs, give them permission, use them more than once, and so on. Then we leave the app on our phones.
With this in mind, especially after a long period of time when the app is no longer in use, Google will revoke the permissions and you must renew them if you wish to use the app. However, this was a feature found in Android 11 and beyond, but the good news is that Google is changing this.
As of December 2021, Google has announced that it will be launching the latest Android architecture from Android 6 and above. Once these updates are released, they will be supported at random so you do not have to worry about being able to provide them yourself, but you should be able to install them yourself if you do not want to use them.
This is good news for users who are concerned about privacy, and while we think there aren’t many devices running on Android 6, this can be beneficial for those who may still be running Android 8-10 which is not suitable for Android 11.
