College football games take over, predicting the spread of each week’s 25-game top

It’s time to dig a hole.

Trust me, it could be really bad. In our second Anti-Spread Week, we stuck to the first eight elections. This led to a 5-11 record ATS in Week 2, which we are not proud of.

Fortunately, Week 3 offers several opportunities for redemption, including three games for selected teams. No. 1 Alabama meets No. 11 Florida in SEC SEC replay last year. Na. 22 Auburn goes to No. 10 Penn State in a “Whiteout” game for the first time. Na. 19 Arizona State and No. 23 BYU meets again at night show, too.

The third week chooses to spread

• Nebraska on No. 3 Oklahoma (-22.5) (12 pm, FOX)

This was a rock game in the Big 12. old, the question is can Nebraska cover the spread of TD by tripling? The Huskers have 6-4 ATS as a way to pass under Scott Frost, and the offense should put some points on Soon.

Choose: Oklahoma wins 45-24 and FAIL to EXPLAIN its spread.

• New Mexico at No. 7 Texas A&M (-28.5) (12 pm, SEC Network)

The Aggies are 1-1 ATS, and we missed both elections. Zach Calzada could start with the injured Haynes King at the end of the quarterback, and the Lobos are 2-0. That said, this sounds like a game when Texas A&M is no less so with Arkansas coming Week 4.

Choose: Texas A&M wins 42-10 and covers the spread.

• Na. 8 Cincinnati (-3) in Indiana (12 pm, ESPN)

This is one of the great games for the Bearcats against the enemy of Power 5, and Indiana presents a challenge. The Hoosiers met Idaho again last week, and a quarterback duel between Desmond Ridder and Michael Penix Jr. it should be fun. The Hoosiers have 3-7-1 ATS as a home coaching staff under Tom Allen, and we think the Bearcats are the best team.

Choose: Cincinnati wins 28-24 and covers the spread.

• Na. 15 Virginia Tech in West Virginia (-2.5) (12 pm, FS1)

The Black Diamond Trophy is playing for the first time since 2017, and it will be exciting to see competitors in the field. We were surprised that the Hokies were useless because of the reliability of Justin Fuente’s startup.

Choose: Virginia Tech wins 27-24 in UPSET.

• Na. 16 Coastal Carolina (-12.5) at Buffalo (12 pm)

Coastal Carolina are 2-0 ATS, and are looking to continue running on the road against a tough MAC opponent. Buffalo lost 28-3 against Nebraska in Week 2. It asks for more along the way, but Grayson McCall has provided another cover.

Choose: Coastal Carolina wins 38-20 and covers the spread.

• Michigan State at No. 24 Miami (-6) (12 pm, ABC)

The hurricane is 0-2 ATS this season, and we are not happy with the way they are playing in both games. The Spartan, however, have found a suitable combination with Payton Thorne and back Kenneth Walker III. Spartans win this.

Choose: Michigan State wins 30-27 in the UPSET.

• Northern Illinois No. 25 Michigan (-27.5) (12 pm, BTN)

Michigan is also placed under Jim Harbaugh, and that means the spread will be a burden now. The Wolverines will continue to face threats up to 339 yards per game, but will also have to practice in passing games. Northern Illinois has played two natural games so far. He finds the back door cover.

Choose: Michigan wins 38-14 but it has been a long way off.

• Price no. 12 Notre Dame (-7.5) (2:30 pm, NBC)

The Irish people are 0-2 ATS and are a tough team to recognize after winning – against Florida State and Toledo. These groups have not met since 2014, which is why the idea should be high. The Irish close this without much drama.

• Na. 1 Alabama (-15) at No. 11 Florida (3:30 pm, CBS)

This is the biggest game in Florida, which has proven that it could be with Alabama in a SEC tournament game last season. Bryce Young has made his debut on the road show, and The Swamp should be rocked. The Gators have lost three home games under Dan Mullen. Check out the Crimson Tide to stay in control and leave for the second half.

Choose: Alabama wins 34-17 and CAN be spread.

• Kent State at No. 5 Iowa (-22.5) (3:30 pm, BTN)

The spread continued, shaking Iowa’s defensive defense that allowed only 11.5 in two games and scored three goals. Kent State is about to cover up against Texas A&M, however, and Dustin Crum is an old watchman who can tie a couple of drives. Golden Flashes fall under the cover.

Choose: They win 34-13 but CANNOT EXPLAIN the spread.

• Georgia Tech on No. 6 Clemson (-28.5) (3:30 pm, ABC)

Clemson beat Georgia Tech 73-7 last season, and has won the last three meetings with 23.7 ppg. The Tigers haven’t left a dirty TD here, and if they can avoid turning the cover it’s possible. This is one of the strongest and most widespread callings.

Choose: Clemson wins 44-13 and CONTINUES to spread.

• Tulsa to No. 9 Ohio State (-26.5) (3:30 pm, FS1)

The Buckeyes were stunned by the defeat of Oregon, and defense is against Tulsa’s error of 20 points in two games. Search for the Buckeyes to reach both sides in a gun victory.

Choose: Ohio State wins 52-17 and CAN be spread.

• Georgia Southern at No. 20 Arkansas (-23.5) (4 pm, SECN)

The FAU thrashed the Eagles 38-6, making it difficult to trust them on the road against the red Razorbacks. Arkansas could be at risk of frustration after a major victory against Texas, and perhaps South Georgia could take advantage of this opportunity with its biggest challenge.

Choose: Arkansas wins 31-10 but FAILS to spread.

• South Carolina at No. 2 Georgia (-30.5) (7 pm, ESPN)

Georgia responded to inquiries into their wrongdoing in the UAB fight last week, with Kirby Smart reminding his team of the double addition to the Gamecocks in Athens in 2019. It is the SEC’s opening for both teams, as well as the first-year coach Shane Beamer’s first taste of the tournament. This seems to be more of an issue, even against Georgia’s poor defense.

Choose: Georgia wins 39-10 but FAILS TO EXPLAIN the spread.

• Na. 22 Auburn at No. 10 Penn State (-5.5) (7:30 pm ABC)

Auburn did not play Big Ten’s opponent in the regular season in 1931. “Whiteout” will be a tough test, and junior Bo Nix should do well against Penn State’s tough defense. Nittany’s Lions play fully in the passing game to win the non-conference victory.

Choose: Penn State wins 31-24 and covers the spread.

• Virginia on No. 21 North Carolina (-9.5) (7:30 pm, ACCN)

Virginia has won four in a row in the series, and the Cavaliers have a unique opportunity to knock down the Tar Heels through the ACC Coastal pecking. All four have won by 10 points or less. This may be a different kind of choice, but we love Tar Heels for fun.

Choose: North Carolina wins 31-28 but FAILS to be widespread.

• Tulane on No. 17 Ole Miss (-14.5) (8 pm, ESPN2)

Genetics and banking on the Green Wave to make a comeback after a trial against Oklahoma two weeks ago. Both teams scored a lot of goals against FCS schools this week, then this will be a shot. Since the line has lost points, there is another benefit in getting the Rebels (and others).

Choose: Ole Miss wins 49-31 and CAN be spread out.

• Na. 19 Arizona State (-2) at No. 23 BYU (10:15 pm, ESPN)

BYU has a chance to knock down three Pac-12 opponents, and Jaren Hall has emerged as a player at the Cougars’ final. Arizona State companies with a brutal demonstration led by Jayden Daniels and Rachaad White. The Devils of the Sun produce a difficult victory along the way.

Choose: Arizona State wins 30-24 and covers the spread.

• Na. 14 Iowa State (-30.5) at UNLV (10:30 pm, CBSSN)

UNLV published a massive spread against the Sun Devils in Week 2. This is an amazing day at which the Iowa State movement was disrupted. The rebels can pull off a second cover in two weeks if they avoid the first punches at home.

Choose: The Iowa government wins 38-10 but LOVES TO EXPLAIN its spread.

• Fresno State at No. 13 UCLA (-11.5) (10:45 pm, Pac-12 Network)

Both teams are 2-0 ATS this season, and it should be an exciting game. Fresno State City Jake Haener has eight TDs and no results, with UCLA running behind Zach Zachbonbonnet for about 13.1 yards to carry. The big game is coming in both directions. Fresno State has won the last three meetings, so it should be a bit late.
