Defender Jason Kerr and Northern Ireland midfielder Ali McCann have left St Johnstone.
Kerr, who started his career at the Perth club seven years ago, joined Wigan for a fee of $ 600,000.
The 24-year-old has won the Scottish Premiership club’s Champions League and Scottish Cup history last season but has signed a three-year deal with League One.
Saints’ chairman Steve Brown said: “During this transfer, we rejected Jason’s request, but Wigan Athletic fulfilled our dream. From the club and, especially financially, it was an opportunity we could not give up.”
McCann, 21, has just returned from McDiarmid Park after joining Preston in a £ 1.2million deal – a figure that could rise above $ 1.75m and more.
The midfielder – who is currently on international duty with Northern Ireland – has agreed a four-year deal with the Lilywhites.
He said: “Well, it’s been a very long day today. I’m just crying to fix everything and line it up and I’m not waiting to go back and get in with the guys next week.
“St Johnstone is a big club. I’ve been there since I was a kid so it was hard to leave because he did so much for me as a kid, but the chances of going to a club like this are too much to pass and I can’t wait to start.”
Dendoncker and MacPherson have teamed up with Saints
St Johnstone added to their squad on the final day after signing Brighton defender Lars Dendoncker on a long-term loan.
The 20-year-old Belgian international says: “This is a great opportunity for me.
“Having won all the home cups last season, I’m joining St Johnstone in the back of the game and I want to go there to have some fun.”
Midfielder Cammy MacPherson also linked the club loan until the end of the season from St Mirren – who have a chance to remember the player in January.
