Salomon Rondon has completed his last day move to Everton where he finds himself reunited with manager Rafa Benitez.
Rondon has signed up for a free transfer and has signed a two-year contract, with a third chance.
He comes from Dalian, signed by Benitez during his time at the Chinese club.
Rondon told Everton: “I’m excited to be back in the Premier League.
“It’s a competition I love to play when I feel like the fans support me in every game.
“Defending a club that has a rich history like Everton fills me with pride. I can’t wait to pull the shirt off and reunite with Rafa Benítez, a coach who has changed the way I feel about the game.
“I am very happy for the faith he has shown in me.”
Benitez – who was appointed manager of Everton this summer – also worked with Venezuelans in Newcastle during the 2018/19 season.
Rondon scored 12 goals in 33 games at St James’ Park, where he also scored 28 goals for West Brom in his four years at The Hawthorns.
The 31-year-old has helped substitute a striker Moise Kean, who left Everton to return to Juventus early Tuesday.
The Italian joined Serie A on a two-year loan deal, and Juventus are set to buy Kean for $ 24m (€ 28m).
Juventus also paid £ 6m (€ 7m). The total cost of the contract, including the bonuses, will require £ 32.6m (€ 38m).
