Bournemouth have completed the signing of Ryan Christie from Celtic for a fee believed to be $ 2.5m.
The Championship side has eliminated competition from Burnley signing the 26-year-old, who is currently on international duty with Scotland.
Christie finished medical training in Scotland before coming out with the national team in their World Cup qualifier against Denmark on Wednesday Sky Games.
Christie – who has signed a first contract since January 1 after already rejecting a new contract from Celtic – joined the Parkhead club from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2015 and achieved 42 club goals.
The midfielder is Bournemouth’s second day signing after Jamal Lowe, who joined Swansea City.
Lowe, who scored 14 goals for the Swans last season, signed a three-year deal and told the club’s official website: “I’ve been here for a month now and I’m just starting out.
“It’s gone very fast. In the last 24 hours I’ve been receiving a lot of calls and being here in Bournemouth is surreal.
“Supervisor, club size and style. It didn’t help me.”
