Feel the inside of the fabric behind the black patches. Does it feel wet? If it is (and you are sure it is not just sweating), it could be that water is coming in and your jacket or pants need to use the new DWR.
Wet comment after heavy rain: Even new jackets, strong jackets can get wet after heavy rain. So if you see dark, wet after a long storm, it doesn’t really means you want new DWR coatings. Do research to find out the truth. When you take the clothes home and have them dry, cover them with a spray bottle filled with water to see if the humidity rises. If it is wet again, it is time to add DWR.
Remove First Clothes
Wash your clothes before dehydrating them to remove excess body fat and dirt. It will help the new DWR coating adhere better to the fabric. Buy cleaning supplies for professional outdoor clothing, such as Nikwax Tech Wash, although you can instead use a little laundry detergent.
You want to wash these in contrast to your outdoor clothing. After that, you are ready to use DWR support. You have two options here: spraying or washing.

How Long Will It Be
The re-use of DWR does not take long as it is a factory-used product. There is no way around this: You need to get used to checking your rain gear before walking and installing DWR as needed. The most affected areas, such as the shoulders and armpits, are more prone to inflammation, and these areas lose waterproofing faster than others.
DWR drugs, for a long time, used long-term perfluorocarbons (PFCs) that formed toxic substances during production and distribution to the environment when those substances began to fade. While you may reject the idea of bringing a product for your gear, these chemicals extend the life span of your clothes several times, and do little damage over time.
