Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) said he would not vote for $ 3.5 trillion but backtracked when asked to give his number on CNN.
Joe Manchin Can’t Specify How To Spend Reconciliation

CNN’s Dana Bash asked Manchin to elaborate and asked if he had a certain number in mind.
Manchin talked about wanting to raise corporate taxes back to 25%.
Bash asked again, “So what’s her number?”
Manchin said, “The most important thing is to be competitive in our taxes. I believe the company should be 25 years old, not 21 years old.”
Dana Bash asked a third time, “So what’s the total budget?”
Sen. Manchin replied, “I think you’ll look and see what you can do right, right.”
Joe Manchin’s Game Gets Challenges
Sen. Manchin did not say it was a total vote for the bill. He wants to return to West Virginia to claim the money.
When asked what he thought the bill should pay, Sen. Manchin had no answer.
$ 3.5 trillion is just a number. Democrats were ready for someone to do what Sen. Manchin is doing. You always have a room just to make money.
Democrats can sit down with Manchin, show him his prepaid bills, shave his head a little, and the bill goes.
Joe Manchin’s Game Finishes Calling
It was good to see Manchin finally beaten to the ground, instead journalists take his words face-to-face to make a play.
Note that Sen. Manchin has not said he will not vote for any bill.
Manchin is playing a game to defend himself in West Virginia, but it was refreshing to see him forced to do what he doesn’t have.
