Psaki Pa Taliban: ‘We Must Do It’
On September 1, Psaki He said that some form of alliance with the Taliban might be necessary but said the US was not “in a hurry” to recognize the new Islamic Emirate from Afghanistan.
The new interior minister of the Taliban, Sirajuddin Haqqani, is the son of the founder of the Haqqani Network, a US terrorist group. For a long time he became one of the most wanted by the FBI.
Doocy asked Psaki Wednesday, “Now there are more terrorists wanted by the FBI in Afghanistan’s new state than women. Does the President think that’s a foreign policy?”
Psaki replied, “First of all, there is no one in this organization, no [President Joe Biden] or any member of the national security force can say that the Taliban are a respected and important people in the world. ”

“They did not receive this in any way and we did not review it,” added Psaki.
He added, “This is a caretaker minister who is comprising four former Taliban freedom fighters. We have not confirmed this, we have not commented on it.”
The “four former Taliban warriors” mentioned by Psaki were actual prisoners in Guantanamo Bay, Who was released by President Barack Obama in exchange for the US military Bowe Bergdahl.
“What we are doing is engaging because they are overseeing and directing Afghanistan right now to recruit American citizens, legal persons and applicants from Afghanistan,” Psaki said.
“We have to deal with it,” the press secretary insisted.
“Do with them? Their new minister for internal affairs and terrorism is Haqqani Network, ”Doocy replied.
Doocy added, “He wants to detonate a bomb that has killed six people, including Americans.
