Author Sen. Ted Cruz of RealClearPolitics
On Tuesday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the committee on which I serve.
The author has a lot of details to do. Last month, we saw the serious failure of policy in Afghanistan by Biden officials. Over and over again, President Biden and senior officials in his administration made decisions that reflected their unwavering views and showed poor performance.
He allowed military vehicles and weapons, and large arms such as the Bagram Air Force Base, to fall into the hands of the Taliban. He left behind hundreds of Americans and Afghans who risked their lives to support the US military.

In addition, they carried tens of thousands of unidentified and unknown people in Afghanistan on their way to the United States without adequate security concerns, public health, or human rights.
Two weeks ago, I went to a construction site in Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. The camp will house 10,000 Afghan refugees. At the time, there were planes coming in and rescued for several hours.
I asked the commanding officer what he was doing to make sure that everyone coming to Afghanistan was properly screened, and he told me that the repetition was taking place in Afghanistan.
We know now, that in most cases the check was not complete and, worse, sometimes the checks were not tested until they arrived in the United States.

Afghanistan is a dangerous place where Islam is spreading. We saw this two weeks ago when a suicide bomber killed 13 women and men.
Of the nearly 30,000 Afghans who have already arrived in the United States, nearly one-third have not been fully tested and need to be rescued. One hundred Afghan people brought security information – one of them had already been deported and raped while in the United States. If even one or two of the deportees want to commit terrorism, we can see a suicide bomber in an American shopping mall, a restaurant, or any other place.
ABOUT: Republican Warrior Afghanistan: Biden Experiments Face ‘Legal Criminal Interpretation’
Failure goes beyond safety. Afghanistan also has serious cases of violence against women. According to the World Health Organization, 59% of women are married out of wedlock and 90% of women are abused.
This behavior was to be avoided as well as criminalized in the United States. Biden officials had a responsibility to ensure that Afghan people brought to the United States share our beliefs.
We also know that, instead, President Biden sent the potential crisis to America. According to documents from the Department of State and the Department of Homeland Security, there have been numerous incidents in places of violence where older Afghan men have treated younger girls as their “wives.”
Some Afghan men are said to have taken advantage of the withdrawal process, and in particular the opportunity to travel to the United States provided by Biden’s management, to end their violence.
Currently the authorities are refusing to admit that they are at risk of bringing thousands of Afghan people who have not been properly tested, including madmen who beat and rape girls who are forced to marry as children.
ABOUT: Rep. Nancy Mace Opposes Democrats in Voting for US Army Left in Afghanistan
Not only did President Biden surrender to the Taliban, who are currently flying the Taliban flag at the former US embassy in Kabul, flying Black Hawk helicopters and firing U.S. weapons, bringing terrorists and restaurant enemies to the US. This has no reason.
America needs answers, and we need them now.
