Many Americans are protesting in memory of Governor Gavin Newsom, according to the newcomer research.
Research, conducted by the University of California-Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Study for the Los Angeles Times, they found that 60% of California voters refused to remember Newsom compared to only 39% who claimed to be helping to get Newsom out of office.
“In the beginning it was probably a matter of whether he liked Newsom or not. It was changed according to your preferences,” Berkeley researcher Mark Di Camillo told the Los Angeles Times. He also said that “all votes” changed when radio presenter Larry Elder became the face of Republican opponents.
Recent research shows a significant change from at the end of July. So far, only half of California’s have said they have returned to Newsom, while 47% have said they support the removal of Newsom.
Newsom has been widely criticized for its high taxes and response to Covid-19 in California, especially among Republicans who shared concerns about growing sanctions. Vaccination in the state is also delayed, initially.
The re-election, which will take place on September 14, will be the fourth re-election to take place in the United States.
