Covid May Be Peaking, But We’re in a 21st Century Cold War

Kent Sepkowitz writes that, two months after Covid-19’s dramatic rise in cases, seven days of new cases in the US have come down. But if we learn anything, the Covid-19 pandemic will not disappear miraculously. So what do we do with these hopes that we may be more successful than Delta? Accept what it is: a short walk in the long, cold war – and it may not be the last battle.
