Photo: AmazonThere are ingredients, and then there are Vitamix ingredients. I was skeptical, but as a friend of my Gear colleague Joe Ray, a Vitamix made me a mixed person. Blender, in fact, is the engine page at the top of the engine. Everything else just stays in the way. Engine is why Vitamix is so good. And yes, it is expensive, but it is worth it. This is not the best we’ve ever seen, but it’s the best we’ve seen this year.
Nothing like home-made ice cream. We haven’t tried this 2-quart model, but I’ve used a smaller version, and it was pretty good. It is especially fun if you have kids who can make their own ice cream cones.

Take the kitchen outside with Solo’s Ranger fire pit. We love Only Yukon, but it is much larger. This low-cost model offers the best (and smokeless) fire extinguishers, the lowest. It is best to roast marshmallows after a good barbecue.

It’s smoky, it’s delicious, and there are a few peppercorns that make it fun. It goes well with Nutrition, soup, pizza, and eggs, but some online sources swear that the sauce goes well with peanut butter or ice cream. WRED comments Julian Chokkattu loves it.
Cooking is fun and playful, but one has to clean up as well. Make their life (or yours) easier with this smart scrubber from Japan. I have a few, because it is good to clean other things – mud shoes, kitchen sinks, even burning caramel – and they usually do not leave scars (said, always try in an unknown place).
