Our suggestions for simple & cost effective oils at home for skin care

1.COCONUT OIL:

Coconut oil is wonderful as a face cleanser, moisturizer and sun screen, but also it can treat many skin disorders. The fatty acids (caprylic and lauric) in coconut oil reduce inflammation internally and externally and moisturize, making them a great solution for all types of skin conditions.

2.SESAME OIL: Sesame oil is an anti-fungal and antiseptic oil that prevents premature skin aging. Sesame oil contains vitamin E, amino acids and lecithin and is suitable for all skin types except red and irritated skin. Sesame oil is used for rheumatoid arthritis and eliminates scabies, ringworm and other fungal skin infections.

3.SWEET ALMOND OIL: Sweet almond oil is a light, non-greasy oil that is especially beneficial for dry, itchy skin. Sweet almond oil is a natural emollient or skin softener that aids the skin in retaining moisture. Sweet almond oil also contains anti-inflammatory properties and can be used full-strength

4.MUSTARD OIL: Mustard oil is often applied externally, especially during massages. The oil has high levels of vitamin E, which helps improve skin health. It can help protect the skin against free radical damage from ultraviolet light and pollution, and can even help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, when rubbed into the skin, the vitamin E in the oil can help promote circulation and immunity.

5.OLIVE OIL: As a high source of vitamin E and other antioxidants, olive oil can also help hydrate skin, speed up wound healing, and help fight infections or hormonal imbalances that can lead to acne, eczema and other skin conditions, making extra virgin olive oil a home remedy for acne and natural eczema treatment.

BEST AYURVEDIC OILS FOR MASSAGE:

PINDA THAILAM:

This is an excellent for extremely dry skin. Panda thailam is made using herbs like Manjista, sariba etc in bee wax and til thailam. This fortified oil extremely beneficial for dry skin, improves blood circulation, reduces joint pain, cures skin diseases and crack foot. Wrap the tile softens the skin and keep it moist throughout the day.

ELADI KERAM:

Oil is fortified with the qualities of drugs in Eladi gana of classics. Best remedy for skin diseases and skin allergies. Improves complexion, reduces bacterial and fungal infections. Excellent oil for dandruff. Moisture and nourishes the skin and helps the skin to perform its protective function.

TRIPHALADI KERAM:

Greatly advised to treat dandruff and skin related problems. Good for eyes when used as hair oil. Protects the skin from allergies (bacteria and fungi). Used for body massage in combinations with other oils.

It id extremely beneficial to use regular abhyagam -Ayurveda oil massage to combat skin issues in winter. One can also practice oil massage by yourself daily but an expert massager can bring best results .You are made to relax for the session and the expert will take proper care of all your joints and skin which may not be proper when done by self. A short period of 1 to 7 days is advised by physician depending on the necessity.
