Bannon and Patel are expected to appear on fines on October 14, while Meadows and Scavino are due to do so on October 15.

The January 6 attack on the Capitol resulted in many deaths and injuries, as well as the collapse of a U.S. parliamentary seat and harassment of lawmakers and activists, in what is known to be one of the most difficult days for American democracy.

Trump has been criticized by the House of Representatives for initiating this move in a bid to prevent Joe Biden from being appointed President on January 20, but Trump has not been opposed by the Senate, which wants a bigger vote.

The pressure to investigate what happened on January 6 has been surprisingly led by Democrats, with a few Republicans including Cheney and Kinzinger mocking the former President to protest his actions and what happened after the 2020 election.

Many Republicans in Congress have rejected the need for further scrutiny, or they want to include Trump supporters in an elected committee, which Nancy Pelosi, a Democratic House spokeswoman, has rejected.

According to the committee, Patel, a former chief of staff at Christopher Miller, Secretary of Defense, was discussing “security at the Capitol” with Pentagon officials on the day of the violence and spoke to Meadows “all day” on January 6.

Scavino was tweeting from the White House on the day of the violence, and the day before he urged people to “be part of history”, according to the group.
