The government has announced vaccination-based programs to spread the virus instead of forcing it to continue.
The United Kingdom has announced a new vaccination program for the COVID-19 vaccine for the elderly and vulnerable at a time when Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government relies on vaccines instead of going further into the “difficult” winter.
“We are now in the process of developing a vaccine… that means we are building a vaccine in the country,” Johnson told a news conference Tuesday.
“When you have a large part of the world, as we are here, with the immune system, small changes can make a big difference, and give us confidence that we don’t need to go back to the old ways.”
Johnson lifted the final coronavirus ban in England in July with the aim of “returning to normal”.
Officials say the COVID-19 vaccine saved more than 112,000 lives and prevented 24 million diseases while seeking a third shot for future health workers and those over 50 or in hospital, starting with high-risk people.
Johnson hopes that the promotional program, which is being conducted without conclusive evidence, will mean that hospitals will be able to cope with the disease during the winter in the UK without further closure.
The UK Prime Minister also referred to “Plan B”, which involves official vaccination certificates in some areas, compulsory wearing a mask, and urging people to work from home, which is kept.
UK records 134,000 COVID-19 deaths among 67 million people.
Health Minister Sajid Javid said the incentive program would begin next week and he hoped the vaccination of health workers would be compulsory.
All four regions of the UK will run a campaign sponsored by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Vaccination (JCVI).
JCVI recommended that the recommendation be given six months after the second shot, after evidence of a reduction in the number of medical aid vaccines for the elderly from at least 90% to less than 90% in six or six months.
