Prime Minister Ariel Henry has asked to explain why he spoke to one of his suspects a few hours after the assassination of the President in July.
The attorney general of Haiti summoned Prime Minister Ariel Henry on Friday to explain why he had spoken with one of the suspects in the assassination of former President Jovenel Moise on the eve of the trial.
A letter sent by Bed-Ford defender Claude to Henry said only the President could approve the summons, but the country did not. Instead, they were “inviting” him to join them.
The hearing in Port-au-Prince’s Court will take place on Tuesday at 10 a.m., he said.

Henry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Moise was shot dead as assassins replaced him in the mountains above Port-au-Prince on July 7, leaving the impoverished Caribbean country in turmoil.
Investigators say former Haitian Ministry of Justice Joseph Felix Badio may have ordered his death.
The text he wrote from mobile phone users Digicel has now also helped confirm the charges made by Badio and Henry on July 7, twice around 4 a.m., just hours after Moise was killed, according to a letter he sent Friday.
The details of the geolocalisation also show that Badio was speaking from the scene of the case, the letter said.
