Justin Trudeau’s party has pledged $ 62bn in new spending for five years ahead of a race rally ahead of the September 20 election.
Canada’s ruling Liberal Party has pledged billions of dollars in new businesses just weeks before the election, as the party seeks help in the face of fierce competition and recent benefits and the opposing Conservatives.
Independent leader Justin Trudeau has revealed the party’s election results platform at a press conference in Toronto on Wednesday, he promised 78 Canadian dollars ($ 62bn) in new spending for five years, with a strong focus on health.
The money could be paid in part by more than $ 25 billion ($ 19.8bn) in new revenue, mainly from major banking and insurance taxes and the fight against tax evasion, the party said.
“We have a plan for everyone’s progress in health, housing, child care, climate,” Trudeau said in a statement on Tuesday, Forward For Everyone.
The new funding – which is expected to be expanded for five years, from 2021 to 2026 – adds to $ 101 billion in Canadian spending over the past three years budget earlier this year.
Liberals spent a lot of money on programs to protect citizens and businesses from the COVID-19 epidemic, to drive global debt and to cut budget to make it more efficient. Trudeau avoided repeated questions about how the budget would be appropriate.

Trudeau on August 15th led to an emergency decision two years before it was time to return the Liberals to the state alone, the party was transformed into a 157-member state in the 2019 general election.
A recent poll shows strong competition ahead of the September 20 vote, with the Canadian Conservative Party led by Erin O’Toole with 33.8% support, compared with 31.2% of Liberals, according to Next CBC Survey, which includes a large number of public voting votes.
Trudeau faced angry protests on a public road and was forced to cancel an event in the province of Ontario last Friday out of concern after a group of vaccinators and anti-masking activists arrived.
Angry protesters also rallied for a second campaign rally in Trudeau in Ontario over the weekend, “shouting obscenities, denouncing threats to assassinate the Prime Minister and throwing racial and misogynists at the hands of blacks and women in his defense”, CBC News reports.
Kyle Seeback, a representative of the Conservative Party, said some of his supporters had taken part in the protests and were “no longer welcome” in their work.
On Tuesday, Conservatives held a general election in Liberals, with Dan Robertson, O’Toole’s chief technical officer, saying on Twitter that “there is a lot of borrowing, high debt, high taxes, and high prices”.
O’Toole has also resorted to spending more money, but said Tuesday it would test the budget for 10 years “uncircumcised” and only increase revenue through economic growth. The Conservative Party did not elaborate on its cost.
“If he doesn’t show numbers, why should Canadians trust him?” Trudeau referred to O’Toole’s promise of a budget.
