The U.S. has arrested one of Russia’s leading automotive carriers in the wake of its multi-million dollar tax evasion scandal.

Novatek is joined by billionaire Leonid Mikhelson, a shareholder, and Gennady Timchenko, a former ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

His first appearance in court was set for Thursday in Florida. If convicted, he could face years of imprisonment for years.
