UK has terminated an agreement with French technology company Valneva to supply the Covid-19 vaccine with at least 100m, alleging that the company violates its rules.
The company “strongly” rejected the request on Monday. The deal was supposed to be € 1,4bn €, with the production to take place in Scotland and shipping to begin in 2022.
The vaccine agent uses the virus to build up the immune system against the coronavirus, a process that can take a long time to develop but also spread to all species. Many other shells are designed to meet the high protein levels of the virus.
The company had previously warned that the export vaccine between the EU and the UK could be a “significant risk” to its members, given its availability. The bullets are placed in a bowl in Sweden.
It is not clear what compelled the UK government to announce its end.
The vaccine is being tested late, with the results being approved in the UK quarterback and by the end of next year, Valneva said.
The drugmaker said in a statement that he had “worked hard, and with great effort” in his dealings with the UK, adding that it would intensify his efforts to get the vaccine used by the plague and other potential customers.
