Our 3522 Innovators Under 35 competition is now open for selection. You can select the best candidates from now until 10pm EST on January 24, 2022.
We have been publishing a list of young founders for over twenty years now. The series always includes interesting stories of young people working to use technology to make the world a better place, but beyond that it is a way to showcase the technologies that they can have for the rest of our lives in the years to come.
You may have heard of the many people we have chosen over the years — Andrew Ng, Helen Greiner, Feng Zhang, Neha Narkhede, Ian Goodfellow, Stephanie Lampkin, Julie Shah, Joy Buolamwini. Many of the best-known scientists, entrepreneurs, social workers, and entrepreneurs record the most vivid choices in their field.
What makes someone great on our list of 35 Innovators? We are looking for people who are doing exciting work in all areas of technology — biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, robotics, computing, energy, electronics, software, nanomaterials, and the internet. Sometimes our winners are producers. Some are successful and entrepreneurs who use technology in a new or exciting way, while others are trying to use technology to fix injustice or make life easier for people in need.
We like to see some success. We often answer questions like these: What is new here? What has this man accomplished that has never happened in this way? How is this person trying to tackle the huge technological crisis that is making a huge difference in people’s lives?
Yes, most of the nominees come from top research universities or major corporations, but it is not necessary. We also like to showcase the founders, founders, and cultural advocates of people who use technology in creative ways to transform their communities.
Does this description sound like everyone you know? If so, it is easy to pick a person, and you can do it right now.
