WhatsApp Payments Can Provide Users With Immediate Refunds

In China, WeChat is growing not only as a messenger app, but a platform for companies and individuals to do business, allowing users to send money to each other, play games, and much more. This is why it came as no surprise that WhatsApp with Facebook is also trying to find similarities.

The company established WhatsApp Payments back to 2020 and now it seems to want to attract more users to use it, the company may be planning to reimburse it for its services. This is according to a report from WABetaInfo who obtained the above information.

It appears that after using WhatsApp Payments, a refund will be paid to users within the next 48 hours. Since this form appears to be in beta, little is known about this. Also, as we mentioned, this feature seems to be limited to UPI Payments at the moment, so it is not clear if other platforms may be compatible, or if they are just experimenting with UPI Payments first.

It should be noted that at the moment, WhatsApp payments are limited to India and Brazil. We do not know if there are any plans to expand the service in other parts of the world, but mobile payment sites are very competitive so trying to enter other established markets can be difficult.
